Frequently Asked Questions

Who does DJM Product Design work with?

DJM Product Design specializes in working with inventors, entrepreneurs, startups, cross-industry teams, small-to-mid-sized manufacturers and OEMs who are bringing new products to market or improving existing ones.

From early-stage ideas to production-ready designs, we have successfully developed thousands of custom consumer and industrial products across a wide range of industries. Whether you’re validating a concept, building a prototype, or preparing for manufacturing, our team provides the expertise and resources needed to move your product forward with confidence.

01

Can DJM Product Design sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)?

Yes—your intellectual property is always protected. DJM Product Design takes confidentiality seriously and will never share your ideas, designs, or proprietary information with other clients or third parties.

We are happy to sign your NDA, or we can provide one for you if needed. Your concepts will remain strictly confidential and will not be used, reused, or disclosed by anyone affiliated with our company.

To request a copy of our NDA, simply email us at sales@djmproductdesign.com or call us at 610-287-1542 Ext.102 and we’ll be happy to assist.

02

How do I get a quote for product design or prototyping services?

Getting a quote is easy. Contact us by sending an email to sales@djmproductdesign.com or give us a call at 610-287-1542 Ext. 102 to schedule an initial consultation. During this conversation, we’ll discuss your product idea, goals, timeline, and any existing designs or files.

After reviewing the project scope, we’ll provide a clear, detailed estimate outlining recommended services, deliverables, and next steps. Every quote is customized—no generic pricing—so you only pay for what your project truly needs.

03

Where should I ship my parts or samples?

We work with clients nationwide and internationally. If you have a physical item that needs to be 3D scanned, reverse engineered, prototyped, or converted into a CAD model, you may ship it directly to our office.

You’re also welcome to drop off parts in person by appointment. Once received, our team will inspect the item and begin the agreed-upon services promptly.

We are located at 395 Main St, Schwenksville, PA 19473.

04

How long does the product design process take?

Project timelines vary depending on complexity, scope, and revisions. Some concepts can move from idea to prototype in a few days, while more complex products may take several months. During your consultation, we’ll provide a realistic timeline, so you know what to expect.

05

Do I need a finished idea to get started?

Not at all. Many clients come to us with a sketch, a rough concept, or even just an idea. Our role is to help you refine, validate, and transform that idea into a functional, manufacturable product.

06

Will DJM Product Design help with manufacturing?

Yes. While we are not a factory, we design products with manufacturing in mind and can assist with production-ready files, material selection, and vendor coordination. Our goal is to ensure your product is optimized for cost, quality, and scalability.

07

How do I get started?

Simply contact us by phone or email to schedule a consultation. We’ll review your idea, answer your questions, and outline the best path forward—no pressure, no obligation.
